I think the number of "viewing" is the amount of people that clicked in this thread in x amount of time.

So we could all be viewing about 5 rooms at the same time.

I don't think the numbers are altered in anyway, just hard to get real-time numbers

The amount of posters viewing a particular forum is accurate to within two hours of the time they opened any particular forum. However if you move from this forum the Rubber Room to say the NBA forum your login ID will follow you there and the Rubber Room will lose one viewer and the NBA forum will gain one.

The only time a viewer will use his entire two hour window is if he does not leave a forum for another one. Even if he turns off his computer (without logging out completely) his login ID will stay as part of the Rubber Rooms total until exactly two hours after he entered the Rubber Room. Right now there are 174 online users here in the Rubber Room (which means lurkers and registered posters combined) Out of a total of 3418 total online users viewing all forums combined.

When I finish this post and move to another forum the 174 figure will change by one to 173. Of course other viewers coming and going are affecting that number also.

me and mama sittin' around drinking applejack and watching race.both about drunk as skunks!!! anyways i am trimming toenails and throwing them in ashtray and when i am done other buster comwes walking i9n and looks at us in disgust.then happens to point out my toenail trimmings habe landed in ashtray and the outline resembles the face of the virgin mary!!!!!

It was the thread started by Quantum leap called Timmy's new Car Show that was pulling in all the spyders that appeared as viewers.

I deleted the thread cmplete and the number should return to normal soon.
